Keratosis Pilaris
Keratosis Pilaris is a relatively common genetic skin condition that afflicts the upper arms, thighs and buttocks. The hair follicles become filled with hard plugs of keratin, giving the skin a bumpy look similar to goosebumps. It most commonly appears in children and adolescents, and may be confused with acne upon first glance. There is no cure for Keratosis Pilaris, but there are a number of products designed to unclog the congested follicles and restore a smooth texture to the skin.
